What is a bunion?
A bunion occurs when the big toe shifts over toward the second toe, and a bump develops on the inner side of the foot at the big toe joint. There may be pain and redness on the bump, and the bunion may cause difficulty when walking or wearing shoes. Bunions can be caused by flat feet, genetics (inherited), arthritis, and injuries. There are both conservative (non-surgical) and surgical options to treat bunions, so please contact me at 708-763-0580 to discuss what treatment would be best for you!
